How did it get its title?
When I look at this painting, I see the gentle warmth of the start to mild Minnesota summer vacation days.

What do I love out this piece?
I love how simple this piece is with two dominant flavors of yellow, the tiny flicks of yellow-orange paint in the bottom left corner edges of the scrape echo each other, like a friendly wink. I also love the rhythm of the yellow-orange buffering on the right of the bottom scrape curves to the gentle movement in the bottom edge curve: it’s like lullaby bounce of a summer vacation road trip.

*I love how well this piece works as part of a trio arrangement, together with “1 June Sunshine” and “2 June Sunshine.”
