How did it get its title?
I love this brown! It’s creamy like chocolate and thick like mud.

Something I love about this painting is…
The sheen of the textured lift off–it just looks like a tempered chocolate glaze and almost makes my mouth water→not almost. It does.

A Poem I Wrote with the Same Title

I played in the sandbox today
Building castles and busy regal streets.
But, then the storm came!

It rained and it rained,
Running streams down the grassy hill.

And, oh how the mud
Slipped
Squished
Splashed
Sploshed
Splished
And skidded me around,
Overtaking my sandy play–
And I worked up
A rather healthy appetite!

I’d baked something
Outside in the mud, but…
I hope my mom
Baked me a chocolate cake, instead!
